Overview of Services

Research is one of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s core missions. To support that mission, the Office of Research provides professional guidance and administrative expertise to all VUMC investigators. The Office of Research provides information and comprehensive services that assist faculty in their efforts to secure funding and conduct research of the highest quality and worldwide impact. In short, we foster scientific discovery and accelerate the translation of research breakthroughs into better health.  Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is committed to advancing biomedical science discovery and training across the Vanderbilt community and beyond.  Our commitment includes providing state of the art research core facilities and shared resources that:

The VUMC Office of Research has developed guidelines for core operations, intended to provide core facility leaders with crucial policy and regulatory information. All shared resources and core facilities should adhere to these guidelines to ensure operations are in compliance with both federal and Vanderbilt policies. The VUMC Office of Research is available to provide business planning, policy guidance, and invoicing support services to all shared resources/core facilities.
