The Clinical Trials Processing Core is located on the 6th floor of Preston Research Building in two restricted access labs. The Core manages human specimen for oncology clinical trials for both Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital. This NIH-guided core facility’s services include, but are not limited to, patient sample collection, processing, storage, and shipment based on study requirements and guidance; data tracking and auditing; clinical trial kit management and inventory; and financial management services for clinical trial preparation. This program is dedicated to accurate and expedient sample management to ensure quality control and to assist in end-user data integrity. Current staffing consists of one lead Coordinator, eight Research Assistants and two Pathology Specimen Coordinators who assist with all aspects of daily operations.
